VeraSMART PC Requirements
VeraSMART Call Accounting software is designed to be flexible and configurable. Specific system requirements
for premises-based solutions will depend on many factors, including the number
of CDR sources, users, and locations supported by the implementation.

VeraSMART 9.x is compatible with a range of Microsoft platforms:
- Windows 7, Professional or Ultimate (x86 or x64)
- Windows® XP Professional (x86 edition only) + SP3
- Windows Vista Ultimate, Business, or Enterprise (x86 or
x64) editions + SP2
- Windows Server™ 2003 or 2003 R2, Standard or Enterprise (x86 or x64) editions +
SP2
- Windows Server™ 2008, Standard or Enterprise, (x86 or x64) editions +SP2
- Windows Server™ 2008 R2, Standard or Enterprise (x64 only) +SP2
Database
VeraSMART includes an embedded SQL Server 2005 Express + SP3 database, which
supports implementations for up to 9 million CDRs in the active database, or up
to 4 GB of total space. If exceeding this limit, users are responsible for the
purchase and installation of a full SQL server, which may reside on a separate
server. This database requires a Windows Server operating system; SQL Server
2005 Standard Edition +SP3 and SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition + SP1 are supported.
Hardware Requirements
Minimum application requirements: 2 GB memory, 20 GB free space in the local
hard disk drive, 32- or 64-bit processor. Your operating system may have higher
requirements; please follow manufacturers's recommendations.
The VeraSMART PC must be dedicated to this application; this can be a
virtualized machine, provided it meets the above requirements.
SAN or flash drives can only be used for data storage and archives.
Network Resources
SMTP Server access is required for emailing reports and alerts.
Network access (or direct serial cable connection) is required for call and/or
data collection from in-house phone systems or directory systems.
